👨✈️ How to Set Up Your Pilot Profile and Add Initial Flight Time #
The Pilot Profile section in PilotDuty allows you to personalize your license information and aviation qualifications. You can also set your initial flight hours, so your logbook starts with your current totals.
Step 1 – Open the Settings Tab #
From the main dashboard, tap the Settings icon at the bottom right of the screen.

Step 2 – Tap on “Pilot Profile” #
In the Settings menu, select Pilot Profile from the list.

Step 3 – Fill in Your Personal Information #
Enter:
- Your full name
- Your pilot license number (e.g., CA123456)
Then activate the applicable toggles for your qualifications:
- ✅ Airplane license
- ✅ Professional license
- ✅ IFR / Multi-engine / Float / Instructor / Military Pilot (as applicable)
This helps the app adjust features to your type of flying.

Step 4 – Add Your Initial Flight Time #
Tap the “Initial flight time” button at the bottom of the profile screen.
You’ll see a summary popup where you can enter:
- ✈️ Total Flight Time
- 🧭 PIC (Pilot in Command), Co-Pilot, Student hours
- 🔁 Total Cycles
- ✈️ Time by Aircraft Category (e.g., Tricycle, SkiPlane, Tail Wheel, etc.)
Once complete, tap Close to save your initial data.
📌 This information helps PilotDuty generate accurate totals for you.

✅ You’re done! #
Your profile is now configured and your starting hours have been imported into the system.
You can always return to the Pilot Profile tab to update your certifications or hours at any time.
